Precipitation Stats for November 2018 as recorded by my AcuRite Pro weather station at Princeton Townhomes, University Town Center, Irvine, California


Highlights:

More rain! I always welcome the rain her in arid southern California where we are reminded on a daily basis how much all god's creatures rely on rain to make the plants grow, to feed the rabbits, to feed the bobcats, to feed the coyotes, to feed the mountain lions... Not to mention all the birds that rely on the flowering and seeding of the plants.

Highest daily precipitation accumulation: 30.7 mm (1.21 in) on 11/29/2018
Total accumulation for November: 40.6 mm (1.6 in)
Total accumulation current "rain year": 61.4 mm (2.42 in)

Note: California calculates its rain year not on a calendar year basis, but starting October 1st through September 30th of the following year to coincide with the seasonality of rainfall which typically falls between the months of October through April.

July 2018 was the hottest month on record for California and it shows in the temperature stats from my Acurite-Pro 5-in-1 readings. The highest temperature for the month was 45.6 C (114F, which was the all-time for the day for the neighboring city of Costa Mesa as recorded by the US National Weather Service) on July 6th.
