Weather conditions are recorded by a personally-owned Acurite 06014RM PRO+ 5-in-1 Weather Sensor mounted at approximately 17m (55' 9") above sea level and 3.8 m (12' 6") above ground level.

The weather station is located in the University Town Center neighborhood of the City of  Irvine, California, in the vicinity of Harvard Avenue and Stanford Court. UTC adjoins the campus of the University of California, Irvine. (See University Town Center neighborhood map below)

The weather station is personally owned and has been publishing weather data to the Weather Underground network since June, 2018

Accuracy for the weather stations as stated by the manufacturer:

Temperature Accuracy: +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1.11 Celsius)
Humidity Accuracy: +/- 5%
Wind Speed Accuracy: up to +/- 5 mph (8 kph)
Rainfall Accuracy: +/- .05" per inch (1.27 mm)

July 2018 was the hottest month on record for California and it shows in the temperature stats from my Acurite-Pro 5-in-1 readings. The highest temperature for the month was 45.6 C (114F, which was the all-time for the day for the neighboring city of Costa Mesa as recorded by the US National Weather Service) on July 6th. The interesting thing is that the low for the month was the previous day at 14.4 C.
