My blog is hosted on HTTPS web servers.

This helps to keep you safe when visiting my blog in the following ways:

  1. It helps check that you open the correct website and aren’t being redirected to a malicious site when you visit or click a link to my website.
  2. It helps detect if an attacker tries to change any data sent to you from my website.
  3. It adds security measures that make it harder for other people to listen to your "conversations", track your activities, or steal your information.

July 2018 was the hottest month on record for California and it shows in the temperature stats from my Acurite-Pro 5-in-1 readings. The highest temperature for the month was 45.6 C (114F, which was the all-time for the day for the neighboring city of Costa Mesa as recorded by the US National Weather Service) on July 6th. The interesting thing is that the low for the month was the previous day at 14.4 C.
